Replacing tension bows

Removing tension bows




Move the convertible top to position 4.
Ignition off.





Remove:
- the 17 screws for the outer and inner roof around the tension bow
- the 3 screws for the tension bow mounting on both the left and right-hand sides
- the 2 screws for the retraining strap on both the left and right-hand sides.
Pull the tension bow backwards.




Remove the 2 screws for the striker plates on both the left and right-hand sides.
Replace the tension bow.

Installing the tension bow
Install in reverse order.
Place paper between the tension bow and the cover. Lower the tension bow to the closed position. Check that there are no gaps between the tension bow and the cover.
