Hood Cover Replacement

Before starting work, see CHA. Preparations Before Work. Procedures

CHN1 Removal:





- Move hood to the position shown in the image.
- Ignition off.
- Make a note of any radio code.
- Disconnect the battery negative lead.





Remove:
- upper panel, luggage compartment.
- 1 screw from rear hinge, left and right sides.





Remove:
- gas spring from upper attachment, left and right sides.
- connector from high-level brake light.





- Remove 1 screw from rear hinge, left and right sides.





- Ignition on.
- Carefully lower cover as shown in the image.
- Lift hood cover.
- Remove hood cover.

CHN2 Installation:





NOTE: Rear lock arms must remain in same position as during removal.

- Check that hood cover control wheel is correctly positioned.
- Install in reverse order.
