Convertible Top: Adjustments

ADJUSTING THE CONVERTIBLE TOP LONGITUDINALLY AND LATERALLY

Install the battery lead. See Note when disconnecting/connecting the battery lead. Service and Repair
Ignition on.
Operate the convertible top using the Volvo Scan Tool (VST).
Ensure that the locating pins for the front lock are vertical and in line with the openings (A) and (B) in the lock housings.
If adjustment is required, move the convertible top to the starting position.
Adjust using the setting screw by the front convertible top motor. Turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Slacken off the lock nut if the position of the locating pins needs adjusting.

Hint: Turning the nut a 1/4 turn corresponds to approximately 1 mm adjustment from front to rear.

Move the convertible top fully back into the convertible top box to check the engagement position of the latches.

Note: Take care when lowering the convertible top unit into the convertible top box. There is a risk of the tensioner rib catching the cover.

Install the brackets for the rear run-off protection/weatherstrip against the rear side windows.
Tighten the 5 screws on each side.
Calibrate the system. See Programming and Calibrating the Convertible system. Testing and Inspection

Install:
- the front lower mounting for the seat belt.
- the side panels.
- the rear seat.
