BU. Checking the Unlit SRS Warning Lamp

BUA. Information On Trouble Shooting







Condition
The SRS warning lamp should come on for about 3 seconds after the ignition is switched on and then go off it no diagnostic trouble code occurs.

Possible Source
Faulty bulb
Faulty combination instrument.

Fault Symptom(s)
SRS warning lamp, does not light with ignition on.



BUB. Checking The Unlit SRS Warning Lamp

BUB1. Checking bulbs






Test with a new bulb. Replace bulb in Combination instrument, Yazaki C7O.
Ignition on.
Does the lamp come on for about 3 seconds when the ignition is switched on?
Yes: Go to BUB3.
No: Go to BUB2.


BUB2. Checking the combination instrument


The trouble-shooting indicates an open circuit or a short circuit to ground in the combination instrument. Check the combination instrument.
Then continue with: Operation done.


BUB3. Verification






HINT: After the repair it is necessary to check it the fault has been rectified.


Ignition off.
Connect the connectors, install the components, etc.
Ignition on.

Does the SRS warning lamp come on immediately after the ignition is switched on?
Yes: Fault corrected
No: Fault not found
