Reading Out Volvo Diagnostics

Information regarding faults and other information can be read using the Volvo System Tester which is connected to the data link connector under the centre console lock. The Volvo System Tester communicates with the control unit using a standard form of communication.


Read and erase stored diagnostic trouble codes, counters and frozen values
Read the values and status of the system's input and output signals
Read the control unit identification
Reset the system (corresponding to ignition off/on)
Operate solenoids
Read the status for the transport fuse
Activate and de-activate the transport fuse
Read the number of deployments of the roll bars
Reset the deployment counter.
