Filler

Filler

I Filler gives a solid base, anti-corrosion protection and a good finish.
II Filler of "non-sanding" material (where the color coat is sprayed wet on wet on the filler without intermediate sanding) can be used for well-primed surfaces to give a solid base and faster paint work repair. All the paint details can be found in the specifications, see Application data for paint materials Application and ID.

Clean the surface carefully before the filler is sprayed on.

Method 1. Filler
Spray on the filler.

Sand down the abrasive filler.

Wet sand using P 800 sandpaper. Avoid sanding right through.

Wash the surface carefully with cleaning agent.

Blow dry using compressed air and wipe the surface dry.

Use a "Tac-rag" (an adhesive cloth to catch any loose particles).

Method 2. Painting with "non-sanding" paint

Spray on "non-sanding" paint. At least 30-40 %m.

Air dry for 15-20 minutes at room temperature

Filler wet on wet

Note! Sanding is not necessary for "non-sanding" paint but if over-painting is not carried out within 24 hours, the coat must be sanded in order to achieve maximum bonding.

Smooth out any uneven patches before applying the color coat, for methods 1 and 2.

Wet sand any defects and uneven patches using P 800 sandpaper and where this is not enough, apply base filler in accordance with previous instructions.

Note! "Non-sanding" paint must be allowed to dry before further coats can be applied.
