RR. Checking Deadlocking Function
RRA. Fault Tracing
Condition
No diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored.
Apart from this the central looking system works normally.
Possible Source
Open-circuit in control signal cable for deadlocking function in the lock unit.
Start fault-tracing with RRB.
RRB1. Activating Deadlocking Function
Ignition on.
Use the Activation function to deadlock the doors.
All doors should be deadlocked.
If reading is OK: Fault not found
If reading is incorrect: Go to RRB2.
RRB2. Checking Connectors
Check VGLA control module connector for contact resistance and oxidation according to
Ignition on.
Use the Activation function to deadlock the doors.
Check that all doors are deadlocked.
If the function has worked the cause of the fault has been loose connections in the connectors.
Are all doors deadlocked?
Yes: Fault corrected
No: Go to RRB3.
RRB3. Checking Cables
Ignition off.
Remove door panel from the relevant door.
Check circuit for the door as follows:
For the left front and rear doors: check the cable between VGLA control module #A2 and the relevant gray lock unit connector terminal 4 for an open-circuit according to WWA2. For the right front and rear doors: check the cable between VGLA control module #A15 and the relevant gray lock unit connector terminal 1 for an open-circuit according to WWA2. Check gray lock unit connector for the relevant door for oxidation and contact resistance according to WW. Checking Wiring and Connections Then continue fault corrected.
RRB4. Verification
Hint: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied.
Ignition off.
Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
Ignition on.
Use the Activation function to deadlock the doors. All doors should be deadlocked.
If reading is OK: Fault corrected
If reading is incorrect: Fault not found
