FF. Checking Signal Cable to Indicator LED
FFA. Fault Tracing
Condition
No diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored.
Possible Source
Short-circuit to supply voltage in indicator LED signal cable.
Start fault-tracing with FFB.
FFB1. Disconnecting control module
Ignition off.
Disconnect VGLA control module connector B.
Does the indicator LED go out?
Yes: Go to FFB3.
No: Go to FFB2.
FFB2. Checking For A Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage
Check cable between VGLA control module #A23 and indicator LED terminal 1 for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to WWA4 WW. Checking Wiring and Connections Then continue with FFB4.
FFB3. Replacing Component
Replace control module according to Alarm Module
Then continue with FFB4.
FFB4. Verification
Hint: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied.
Ignition off.
Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
Ignition on.
Use the Activation function to activate the indicator LED.
The indicator LED should flash three times.
Is this function OK?
Yes: Fault corrected
No: Fault not found
