Replacing the roof lining

Removing the roof lining

Removing ceiling lamp, roof lining





Remove:
- lamp lens using a flat screwdriver
- 2 screws

Removing sun visor, roof lining





Remove:
- 2 screws
- lining fixing by breaking with a flat screwdriver





Hint: If sun visor and wiring are fault-free, cut the wiring at a suitable place so a 2-pin connector can be installed.

Remove:
- A-pillar panel as described in Replacing panels Replacing Panels
- 6 screws from glovebox and lift out

Note! Left sun visor: Remove sound wall under steering wheel to reach wiring.

Remove connector from sun visor.
Cut wiring between sun visor and connector (A).

Hint: Let wiring which is tightly wound in cable harness remain there.

Remove sun visor.

Removing clips, roof lining





Remove:
- panels, as described in Replacing panels Replacing Panels
- frame around roof hatch opening
- clips by turning with a screwdriver
Lift out lining from car through front door.

Installing roof lining

Installing clips, roof lining
When installing, centralize roof lining using rotating clip in rear edge and sun visor inner fixing in front edge.

Install:
- clips
- frame around roof hatch opening
- panels, as described in Replacing panels Replacing Panels

Installing sun visor, roof lining





Hint: If sun visor and wiring are fault-free, connect the old wire with a 2-pin connector.

Remove pin with wires from connector (A).
Insert new wire in same way as old but through dashboard by side of wire harness.
Install pin with wires in connector (A) and connect connector.
Attach new wire with tape on wire harness so that no noise can occur.
Let old wiring which is tightly wound in cable harness remain there.

Caution! Replace clips with new ones if they break.

Note! Left sun visor: Install sound wall under steering wheel after new wires are pulled through.

Install:
- A-pillar panel as described in Replacing panels Replacing Panels
- glovebox with 6 screws.
- lining fixing from sun visor
- 2 screws

Install:
- 2 screws
- lamp lens
