Replacing hood release cable




Remove hood release cable from the release handle.
Cut the existing hood release cable
Tie the new hood release cable to the old one and pull it through the firewall into the engine compartment.
Connect the hood release cable to the hood catch and release handle.
Adjust according to Adjusting hood release cable

Adjusting hood release cable




Adjust the hood release cable between the hood catches or with the adjustment screw in the passenger compartment.

Adjust
- Push in the release handle in the passenger compartment as far as possible
- Adjust the hood release cable with the adjustment screw in the passenger compartment to take up the slack in the cable.
- Adjust the hood release cable between the hood catches by moving the hinges sideways
