Removing door panels
C70 Coupe:
Detach the door panel. See Components front side door, replacing Removal and Replacement.
C70 Convertible:
Detach the door panel. See Components front side door, replacing Removal and Replacement.

Applying hot adhesive




Apply hot adhesive to the mating surface of the door panel for the panel insert. Apply adhesive in those places where the insert has come loose.

Bonding the panel insert into place




Place protection over the door panel upholstery where the bonding is to be adjusted.
Press the door panel and the panel insert together while the adhesive cures. Use a G clamp or similar.

Note! The curing time for the door panels is 6 minutes at room temperature.

Adhesive reinforcement




Apply more adhesive to the adjusted section so that the adhesive grips around the panel insert.

Installing the door panel
Remove the clamp used during bonding.
Check that the panel insert is secure.
Check that there is no damage to the door panel upholstery.
C70 Coupe:
