P0722

Alldata Editor Note:

Volvo does not provide information regarding DTC P0722 for many of their models.
However, it has been reported that various Volvo's will produce this code. The code is stored when the TCM registers that the transmission speed signal is missing. This code may be accompanied by DTC P1633 or P1618.

Possible causes:
- Defective transmission speed sensor
- Transmission speed sensor loose
- Contact resistance in terminals
- Fault in transmission control module
