Intermittent fault
- Ignition off.
- Disconnect seat connector.
- Check connector for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
- Ignition on.
Connect an oscilloscope between left seat connector #1 and ground.
The oscilloscope should display a spiked pulse with an interval of 500 ms and an offset of approximately 2 V.
Now repeat the reading between SIPS bag connector #2 and ground. The oscilloscope should now read approximately 2 V
Remedy as necessary.
