Checking component








- Ignition off.
- Disconnect connector from seat belt tensioner.
- Ignition on.
Connect oscilloscope between seat belt tensioner #1 and ground. Measure for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
The oscilloscope should now display a spiked pulse with an interval of approximately 500 ms.
If the value deviates it indicates that the cable is short-circuited. Replace the cable harness.









Select Continue when the fault has been remedied.
