Diagnostic trouble code (DTC)RTI-124 is stored if the control module registers discrepancies in communication with the CD-ROM player.

Substitute value
None.

Possible source
- An open-circuit, a short-circuit to ground or voltage on the cables between the control module #A4, #A5, #A6, #A18, #A19 and CD-ROM player terminals 4, 5, 11, 12, and 13.
- Contact resistance in terminals.

Fault symptom[s]
- No voice message.
- Fault message is displayed on the display.
