Signal Missing. Permanent Fault
Signal missing. Permanent fault
Checking connector
- Ignition off.
- Remedy the solenoid and control module connectors for contact resistance and oxidation and remedy according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
- Check any damage etc.
Other information:
- To disconnect/replace control module, see Replacing the Roll-over Protection System (ROPS) module Service and Repair.
- To disconnect/replace the solenoid, see Replacing the roll-over bar cassette Removal and Replacement.
Select Continue when the fault has been remedied.
Continue - Checking component and cables
-------------------------------------------------
Checking component and cables
For S1: Check the ground lead between control module 4 and solenoid 2, and the signal cable between control module 5 and solenoid 1. Measure for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
For S2: Check the ground lead between control module 17 and solenoid 2, and the signal cable between control module 21 and solenoid 1. Measure for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Connect the solenoids' connectors.
For S1: Connect an ohmmeter between control module 4 and 5 (solenoid side).
For S2: Connect an ohmmeter between control module 17 and 21 (solenoid side).
4 ohms.
Try a new roll-over bar cassette if the value is not correct.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows.
- Ignition off.
- Wait 10 seconds so that the system is unpowered.
- Reinstall connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
If the DTC status changed to intermittent it means that the fault is no longer present.
Does the status change?

Fault-tracing information
The fault should have been detected and remedied. As this is not the case fault-tracing has failed.
Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.
Do you want to exit fault-tracing?
