Checking the connector




- Ignition off.
For S1: Check the ground lead between control module 4 and solenoid 2, and the signal cable between control module 5 and solenoid 1. Test for an intermittent open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
For S2: Check the ground lead between control module 17 and solenoid 2, and the signal cable between control module 21 and solenoid 1. Test for an intermittent open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the solenoid and control module connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check for damage carefully.
Reinstall the solenoid connectors.
For S1: Connect an ohmmeter between the control module 4 and 5 on the solenoid side.
For S2: Connect an ohmmeter between the control module 17 and 21 on the solenoid side.
The ohmmeter should read approximately 4 ohms.
Is the value correct? Try replacing the present roll-over bar cassette.
Remedy as necessary.
