Adjust the seat rear edge height up or down using the control button.
Does the seat rear edge move in the correct direction?
Yes - Checking cables to potentiometer 3
No - Reconnecting wiring to motor 3

Reconnecting wiring to motor 3
- Ignition off.
- Remove seat from car according to Replacing seat assembly Replacing Seat Assembly.
- Disconnect the black 14-pin connector C.
Switch the leads:
- Press out the pins in terminal 3 (yellow cable) and 4 (green cable) from connector C. Use terminal removal tool 951 2631 Terminal removal tool 951 2631 Terminal Removal Tool.
- Switch the two leads and press the pins into the connector.

Checking cables to potentiometer 3
- Ignition off.
- Remove seat from car according to Replacing seat assembly Replacing Seat Assembly.
- Disconnect the black 14-pin connector C.
Check that the brown cable is connected to C:14 and the red cable to C:7.
In the event of incorrect connection:
- Press out pins for C:14 and C:7. Use terminal removal tool 951 2631 Terminal removal tool 951 2631 Terminal Removal Tool.
- Switch the two leads and press the pins into the connector.
- Reconnect the connector.
Were the leads connected properly?
Yes - Replacing component
No - Verification

Replacing component
Motor and potentiometer are correctly connected to the control module.
Try a new control module according to Control module, replace Control Module.

- Ignition off.
- Connect seat to car..
Read off value from the potentiometer for motor 3.
Adjust the seat rear height up and down using the control button.
The value should increase when the seat rear is adjusted upwards and be reduced when it is adjusted downwards.
