Check heater function according to Test driving of Additional heater/Parking heater Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
Does the heater function?
Yes - Intermittent fault
No - Checking connector

- Ignition off.
- Check control module connector for contact resistance and oxidation and remedy according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check any damage etc.
- Reinstall components, reconnect connectors etc.
- Ignition on.
- Activate heater.
Check heater function according to Test driving of Additional heater/Parking heater Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
If the heater now functions it means that the cause of the fault has been loose connections in the connector.

No - Checking supply circuit

Check circuit between control module #11 and the components which are connected to the supply circuit (water pump terminal 2, fuel pump (FP) terminal 2 and combustion fan supply terminal) for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault and a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.
