Signal Too Low






Signal too low

Checking signal from door lock switch




- Ignition on.
Read off door lock switch status.
The value should be HIGH.





Is the value HIGH?

Yes - Intermittent fault

No - Checking door lock switch in lock unit

- Ignition off.
- Remove driver's door panel.
- Disconnect door lock switch connector.
- Ignition on.
Read off door lock switch status.
The value should be HIGH.









Is the value HIGH?

Yes - Replacing component

No - Checking cables

Replacing component
Try a new lock unit.

- Ignition off.
For left-hand drive cars:
Check the cable between control module #A18 and the lock unit gray connector #B2 for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
For right-hand drive cars:
Check the cable between control module #A18 and the lock unit gray connector #B3 for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows.
that the fault is corrected as follows:








- Ignition off.
- Reinstall connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Read off the control switch status
The value should be HIGH.

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - Fault-tracing information
No Fault Found

Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.

Intermittent fault
For left-hand drive cars:
Check the cable between control module #A18 and the lock unit gray connector #B2 for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
For right-hand drive cars:
Check the cable between control module #A18 and the lock unit gray connector #B3 for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
