Checking connector and wiring

Caution! Do not apply rust solvent spray or grease to the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connector.

Check heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connector for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Check the signal cable (+) between the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) #1 and the control module #A41 (#A41), signal cable (-) between heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) #5 and the control module #A42 (#A42), calibration current power cable between the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) #2 and the control module #A28 (#A28) and the pump current power supply cable between the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) #6 and the control module #A24 (#A24) for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Check the signal cable (+) between the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) #1 and the control module #A41 (#A41), the signal cable (-) between the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) #5 and the control module #A42 (#A42), the calibration current supply cable between the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) #2 and the control module #A28 (#A28) and the pump current supply cable between the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) #6 and the control module #A24 (#A24) for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Check signal cable (+) between heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) #1 and control module #A41 (#A41) for an intermittent open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
