Checking the connectors and cables
- Ignition on
- Check control module connector A for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Connect a voltmeter between control module A2 and ground (Side windows down).
Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Connect a voltmeter between control module A3 and ground (Trunk lid inhibitor).
Take the same reading as above.
Connect a voltmeter between control module A4 and ground (Warning signal).
Take the same reading as above.
Connect a voltmeter between control module A5 and ground (Rear demist).
Take the same reading as above.
If a short-circuit to supply voltage is found, begin by checking the connector for the faulty component for a short-circuit to supply voltage. See Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
If no short-circuit to supply voltage is found, the fault may be in one of the affected components; the warning buzzer, the heated rear windshield, the trunk lid inhibitor or window module.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Check that all functions are fault-free: Test operate the convertible system according to Test operating the convertible system Test Operating the Convertible System.
