Signal missing. Permanent fault

Checking the connector

Note! The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) erases itself. This means that it is erased if the vehicle speed signal returns.

Note! The cause of the fault may also be in other speed dependent systems.




- Ignition off
- Check the speed signal from the combined instrument panel
- Check control module connector A. Check for contact resistance and oxidation. See Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Connect an ohmmeter between control module A22 and combined instrument panel A7. Check for an open-circuit. See Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on. Parking brake applied
- The trunk lid is closed
- Speed <4 km/h.
Activate the control switch for convertible top operation.

Does the convertible top function?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
