Checking the battery voltage
Note! The fault may also be in other powered systems.
The battery should be checked for loose terminal connections before fault-tracing begins.
Remedy as necessary.

- Check control module connector B for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault
- Check control module connector B. Ensure that all the terminal pins are correctly installed and that there is no damage. See Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault
- Ignition on.
Connect a voltmeter between control module connector B6 and B5 (ground).
The voltmeter should read battery voltage if there is no open-circuit.
Connect a voltmeter between control module connector B8 and B7 (ground).
Take readings as above.
Remedy as necessary.

Select Continue when the fault has been remedied.

- Ignition off
- Connect the connectors, install the components, etc.
- Ignition on
- Apply parking brake
- Close the luggage compartment lid
- Speed < 4km/h.
Operate the control switch to move the convertible top.
Move the convertible top to its end positions.
Does the convertible top work?
Yes - VERIFIED
No - VERIFICATION FAILED
