Signal missing. Intermittent fault

Checking the battery voltage

Note! The fault may also be in other powered systems.

The battery should be checked for loose terminal connections before fault-tracing begins.
Remedy as necessary.

- Check control module connector B for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults
- Check control module connector B for loose connections according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults
- Ignition on.
Connect a voltmeter between control module connector B6 and B5 (ground).
The voltmeter should read battery voltage if there is no open-circuit.
Connect a voltmeter between control module connector B8 and B7 (ground).
Take readings as above.
Remedy as necessary.
