Faulty signal. Intermittent fault

Checking the wiring




- Check control module connector D for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults
- Ignition on.
Connect a voltmeter between D1 and ground and between D2 and ground. Check for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.

Was a short-circuit found?

Yes - Checking the engine

No - Checking the control module

Checking the engine




- Ignition on
- Check the relevant motor connector for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Connect a voltmeter between 1 and ground and between 2 and ground. Check for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Replace the motor if a short-circuit is found.
If no short-circuit is found, the fault is in the cable between the control module and the motor connectors.
Remedy as necessary.

Select Continue when the fault has been remedied.

Fault-tracing indicates that the control module has previously registered an intermittent fault but that the fault is no longer present.
Test operate the convertible system according to Test operating the convertible system Test Operating the Convertible System.
