Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CCU-121 is stored if the convertible control unit detects a position fault (angle fault). A position fault (angle fault) means that the convertible control unit has attempted to find a position where all input signals are possible. With a position fault (angle fault) the convertible top goes to the open or closed position regardless of how the switch is operated.

Possible source
- Manual convertible top operation
- The convertible top is in an incorrect position for another reason.

Fault symptom[s]
- Convertible top control does not function.

Hint: The convertible top attempts to find the correct position. This convertible top movement may seem jerky or the convertible top may not move normally.

Hint: The left and right-hand micro-switches are connected in series. Additional diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CCU-120 is stored if the micro-switch for the cover indicates unlocked when the convertible top is folded up.

Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be used to confirm that the customer has had problems with the convertible top. The problem may not necessarily remain when the car is brought into the workshop.

Note! Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) CCU-121 is a secondary diagnostic trouble code (DTC) and is stored with other diagnostic trouble codes.
