Checking the connectors and cables
Check relevant wheel sensor and ABS control module connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check connectors and wiring insulation for damage.
Check that wheel sensor cables are not too close to sources of interference.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.
- Ignition off.
- Connect control module.
- Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
- Test drive car.
Note! Vehicle speed must be above 40 km/h (25 mph) for more than 2 minutes.
- Read off the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) counters.
Check the counter value. The control module interprets a counter value greater than 0 as an intermittent fault. The control module interprets a counter value of 0 as a permanent fault. If the value changes it indicates that the fault has been remedied.
Does the counter value change?
