Checking wheel sensor and pulse wheel
- Ignition off.
- Remove wheel for better access.
Check that relevant wheel sensor is fitted tightly against shaft/hub. Check that there is no dirt between the sensor and mating surface.
Check that relevant pulse wheel is properly secured and is not damaged (no teeth missing, not deformed or scratched etc.)
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: A sticking brake can block one or both wheels when the car is being driven. This will mean that the wheel sensor signal is not transmitted.
Check that brake calipers are not sticking and blocking the wheels.
Check wheel bearing on relevant wheel for play and sticking.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.
- Ignition off.
- Connect control module.
- Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
- Test drive car according to Test driving .
Note! Vehicle speed must be above 40 km/h (28.6 mph) for more than 2 minutes.
- Read off the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) counters.
Check the counter value. The control module interprets a counter value greater than 0 as an intermittent fault. The control module interprets a counter value of 0 as a permanent fault. If the value changes it indicates that the fault has been remedied.
