Tailgate panel





DA1. Trim Around Door Opener

DA2. Tailgate Panel:





Install a piece of card to protect the panel
Push a piece of card, approx. 180 x 100 mm (7 x 4 in.), between the upper and lower panel on both sides.
This is to protect the upper panel when the lower panel is pushed off.

DA3. Tailgate Panel:





Pull the panel downwards to release the clips. Use a weatherstrip tool instead of your fingers if necessary.

DA4. Tailgate Panel





Knock the panel forwards with your hand to release it.

DA11. Replacing Tailgate Lock Mechanism:





Remove:
panels according to DA1- DA4.
inner tailgate opener (2 screws)
Disconnect connector.





Remove:
key and handle link rods
lock mechanism (3 torx screws).

Remove lock.
Install in reverse order.

DA13. Replacing Tailgate Handle:





Remove:
lock cylinder link rod.
tailgate opener link rod.
4 nuts.
license plate lighting connector. Remove through tailgate.
handle, ease out carefully.

DA14. Replacing Tailgate Lock Cylinder/Cover:





Remove clip holding link rod and lock cylinder.
Pull out:
lock cylinder
clip holding the spindle.

Install in reverse order.
