DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INFORMATION




Condition
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) ECM-9540 is stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM) if the Engine Control Module (ECM) registers a fault in the 5 V power supply to the Accelerator Pedal (AP) position sensor.

Condition
- throttle closure when braking
- slow throttle opening to requested value.

Possible source
Internal fault in control module.

Signal too high:
- signal cable short-circuited to supply.

Signal too low:
- short-circuit to ground in the signal cable.

Condition
- ETS warning lamp lit
- poor Accelerator Pedal (AP) response.
