ECM-9530 ACCELERATOR PEDAL (AP) POSITION SENSOR
DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INFORMATION




Condition
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) ECM-9530 is stored if the Engine Control Module (ECM) registers a fault in the linear signal from the Accelerator Pedal (AP) position sensor.

Condition
- throttle closure when braking
- slow throttle opening to requested throttle opening.

Possible source
Internal fault in control module.

Signal too high:
- signal cable short-circuited to supply
- defective Accelerator Pedal (AP) position sensor.

Signal too low:
- short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
- defective Accelerator Pedal (AP) position sensor.

Condition
- ETS warning lamp lit
- poor Accelerator Pedal (AP) response.
