Charged Too Long




ECM-8010 BATTERY VOLTAGE
CHARGED TOO LONG

Checking charge voltage



- Start the engine.
- Connect a voltmeter between battery terminals.

Battery voltage should be over 16 V.

Is the battery voltage OK?
Yes - Continue below.
No - Skip to "Checking Charging System"


Intermittent fault
- Check control module connector and battery and generator (GEN) terminals for loose connections according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults and contact resistance and oxidation according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults

- Check cable terminal on fuse 11B/1 for contact resistance and oxidation according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults
