The service maintenance interval on all 1999 Volvo models both turbo and naturally aspirated is now every 7,500 miles/12,000 kilometers. The 7,500 mile/12,000 kilometer maintenance interval will shorten the customer contact time on naturally aspirated vehicles, and reduce the confusion for both the retailer and customer on when to schedule services. The revised Schedule Of Services also reflects the improved technical capabilities of 1999 Volvo automobiles. As part of the process of revising the service interval to reflect the improved technical capabilities, we have also changed the required services at each interval quite extensively. Technical personnel should review these changes immediately.
The following pages contain the maintenance schedule for all models. Customers can also refer to pages 59-64 of the Warranty and Service Records Information booklet for this maintenance information. Please review the 1999 maintenance schedule with all appropriate retailer personnel.
The new car delivery process should include a review of the maintenance schedule with the customer. Please refer to section # 1 Documents, and section # 4 Maintenance Information, of the Celebrating Delivery Checklist included with the 1999 New Model launch Training received from your Hub.
