Design and Function
Introduction
The Flash programming equipment allows the reprogramming of M4.4.1 ECMs (engine control module). Updated data is installed in the Laptop-PC, and will be transferred to the ECM via the programmer.
This manual provides a step-by-step procedure for operation of the reprogramming equipment.
General Description
The reprogramming equipment requires the ECM part number to be entered, and only allows the programming of ECMs. Then the data is downloaded to the ECM. When the download is completed, the system will check for a successful data transfer. If any errors are detected, the system will permit start of the programming procedure again.
