Volvo On-Board Diagnostic System

Volvo Scan Tool (ST):

Using the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) it is possible to:
- Read off and erase diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), counters and frozen values.
- Activate gauges according to a predetermined pattern.
- Continuously monitor the value and status of combined instrument panel input and output signals.
- Read off control module identification.
- Reset the service reminder indicator (SRI).
- Read off data stored in the combined instrument panel.
- Program the combined instrument panel.




The Scan Tool (ST) and memory cassette make it possible to communicate with the car's various control modules. By connecting the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) to the data link connector (DLC) diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) can be read and erased, components and functions can be activated, output and input signals can be read, functions reset etc.
