Cigarette Lighter: Service and Repair

EE1 Replacing Front Cigarette Lighter Assembly:




- Ignition off.
- Disconnect battery negative lead.
- Remove tunnel compartment.

Remove:
- cigarette lighter assembly from tunnel compartment.
- wiring from mountings in tunnel compartment.
- connector from its mounting and disconnect the connector.

- Replace cigarette lighter assembly.
- Assemble in reverse order.

Test cigarette lighter assembly function.

EE2 Replacing Rear Cigarette Lighter Assembly:
- Ignition off.
- Disconnect battery negative lead.

Remove:
- rear ashtray panel according to: EC1
- cigarette lighter assembly connector.
- cigarette lighter assembly from panel.

- Replace cigarette lighter assembly.
- Assemble in reverse order.

Test cigarette lighter assembly function.
