Condition
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) GLA-531 is stored if the Control module registers that the courtesy lighting signal is greater than 1.5 V for 10 seconds when a door is open or when the car is unlocked using the remote control or key.

Condition
None.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable.
- Open-circuit in the signal cable.
- Contact resistance in terminals.
- Internal fault in control module output.

Condition
- Courtesy lighting does not light.
