Possible source
- An open-circuit, short-circuit to ground or short-circuit to supply voltage in the cable for the data link connector (DLC)
- Open-circuit in the data link connector (DLC) power supply, power ground or signal ground
- Open-circuit in the power supply to the SRS (supplemental restraint system) control module
- Defective VCT2000, adapter or wiring.

Note! Check the battery voltage before starting fault-tracing.

Fault symptom[s]
- No communication with the SRS (supplemental restraint system) on-board diagnostic (OBD) system.
