Volvo supplies two procedures to replace the cylinder head and cylinder head gasket for the 1998 and 1999 C70 (2.3L & 2.5L).

Both procedures are for engines with Mechanical Timing Belt Tensioners and Variable Valve Timing and appear to be valid. However, there are some differences between the two procedures. We suggest that the reader examine both procedures to determine whether there might be factual differences that may affect the useability for the readers particular situation.
