Combined instrument panel (CDM)
The combined instrument panel is the main module in the network and coordinates all communication. It also controls diagnostic function by connecting the data link connector (DLC) to the network for programming and reading off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and parameters.

Data link connector (DLC)
Any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in a module are transferred via the data link connector (DLC) and can be read off using VIDA.
All software downloading to the different modules is carried out using the data link connector (DLC).
