Signal faulty. Intermittent fault

Checking the wiring








- Ignition off.
- Disconnect connector from passenger air bag.
- Ignition on.
Connect an oscilloscope between the passenger air bag #1 and ground. Check for an intermittent short circuit to ground, as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
The oscilloscope should now show a spiked pulse with a period time of approximately 500 ms.
If the value deviates from this, this indicates that the wire is short circuited; replace the cable harness.
