Rear Wiper Unit and Motor

NOTE: You must refit special radio interference suppression unit if fitted.

Removal:





- Undo nut, do it up a few turns to protect threads on wiper unit shaft.
- Remove wiper arm from wiper mechanism by holding nut with polygrip pliers and pushing arm off.
- Remove wiper arm.





- Remove trunk panel.
- Remove wiper unit nuts.
- Undo wiper unit connector.





- Remove nut from wiper motor shaft to wiper mechanism.
- Remove wiper motor screws.

Installation:
- Connect 12 V supply to wiper motor to ensure wiper motor assumes off position.
- Install wiper motor on wiper unit.
- Install wiper motor screws.
- Install nut on wiper motor shaft to wiper mechanism.





- Install wiper unit in trunk.
- Connect connector to wiper unit.
- Install nuts to wiper unit, tighten to 10 Nm (7,5 ft.lbf).
- Install trunk panel.





- Install wiper arm.
- Fit nut hand tight.
- Adjust position so wiper arm is parallel with bottom of rear window.
- Tighten nut to 16 Nm (12 ft/lbf).
