Clutch Pedal Assembly: Service and Repair

1. Release clutch pedal
- Remove panel under dashboard.
Cars with SRS: Remove kneeguard also.
- Fold carpet back.
- Remove clip holding clutch master cylinder pushrod to clutch pedal.





2. Lift off pushrod from clutch pedal.

NOTE: Hold pedal down to prevent it pushing up against the cruise control contact if fitted.

- Now push clutch pedal down towards floor.
- Lift assist spring off of clutch pedal.





3. Remove pedal from pedal assembly.
- Remove clip, then pedal.
Check clutch pedal bushings.
- Grease bushings with grease 1161241-3.
- Install bushings on clutch pedal.

4. Fining new clutch pedal to pedal assembly.
- Install a new clip on the pedal spindle.
- Push pedal down and fit spring to pedal.

NOTE: Hold pedal down to prevent it pushing upwards against cruise control contact (if fitted).

5. Install:
- Clip holding clutch master cylinder pushrod to clutch pedal.
Cars with SRS: Install kneeguard.
Tighten to: 20 Nm.
- Panel below dashboard.
Put carpet back.
