Pull In Test

Fig. 1 Checking Control Solenoid:

1. With starter removed from vehicle.
2. Connect battery as shown in Fig. 1.
3. When circuit is completed, the drive pinion should extend.
4. If drive pinion does not operate as specified, repair or replace starter motor as necessary.
