Generator (GEN) noise in the loudspeakers

Background:
Generator (GEN) noise may be heard from approx. 3,000 rpm and upwards on cars with an amplifier and CD player introduced in the following chassis no. range.

This noise can be clearly heard just after the radio is turned on at low volume.

Adapter wiring has been developed as a service solution in case of customer complaints.

Method

Remove cover over CD player.





Disconnect CD cable and connect adapter wiring.
