Canister Purge Control Valve: Testing and Inspection

Checking EVAP Valve
^ Remove following to gain access to EVAP valve:
- Valve from bracket.
- Soundproofing from valve.

^ Remove / Disconnect:
- Tool P/N 9995545 and pressure regulator P/N 9995544 from fresh air hose.
- Hoses from EVAP valve.
- Connector.

^ Connect hose from vacuum pump P/N 9995843 to connection point under connector.
^ Pump up vacuum.
^ Vacuum gauge should indicate steady value.

If vacuum falls:
- Replace EVAP valve.

^ Reinstall valve, hoses, soundproofing and connector on completion of check.
^ Use clamp P/N 9814215 and new hose clip, P/N 978165-9, when installing.
