Changes to fuel injection system

Changes to fuel injection system on the 850 model year 1997. The change affects engine: B5254T

Changes to fuel injection system on the 850 with engine B5254T.

AA1

Fuel pressure regulator

A new non-return type fuel pressure regulator P/N 1275711-8 has been introduced. The new fuel pressure regulator, integrated with the fuel line, is located behind the engine at the bottom of the cowl panel.

AA2

EVAP-system.

Two new check valves P/N 9135666-7 have been introduced into the EVAP-system.

The check valves are located as illustrated. One check valve is located in the hose to the intake manifold and prevents air flowing from the engine to the EVAP canister when the turbocharger (TC) is operating. The other check valve is located in the hose to the fresh air intake. It closes if there is negative pressure in the intake manifold, this prevents air flowing from the fresh air intake to the intake manifold.
