General

WARNING:

Service Precautions
- The ignition system uses a high voltage. It is dangerous to come into contact with high-voltage circuits, such as ignition coil, points or distributor
.

Connecting And Disconnecting Control Module:





- The control module must always be switched off before disconnecting connectors or test unit.
- Switch ignition off.

Always switch ignition off when:





- Connecting or disconnecting test equipment.
- Connecting and disconnecting connectors.
- Connecting or disconnecting cables.
- Measuring resistance.

Battery:





When testing different components, it is important to check that the battery voltage is normal. Charge the battery before testing if necessary. Maximum permitted charge current - 15 Amps at 16 Volt.
- Do not remove cables while engine is running.
- Disconnect battery cables during rapid charging.
- Do not use boost charger or voltage over 16 volts when jump-starting.

Fire risk:





Take extreme care to avoid vapor buildups. Avoid sparks or flames near battery.

Control Module:





- Remove control module when undercoating etc.. Do not heat control module up over +80 °C.
- Remove control module connector when electro-welding.
- Remove control module it electro-welding is to be carried out close by.
- Do not install new control module without first checking wires and components. Otherwise, if there is a fault, it could damage the new control module in the same way as the old one.

Cleanliness:
Keep everything very clean when working on refrigerant system. Clean refrigerant connections before undoing them.

Gaskets, Seals:
Always use new gaskets and seals when undoing a connection.

Torque Settings:
Use specified torque settings. Mechanical Specifications

Refrigerant:
Follow the safety instructions in the section on working with refrigerant.
