Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

DRAINAGE OF FUEL SYSTEM





Removal of Covers
^ Remove:
- Throttle pulley cover.
- Shield over valve on fuel rail.

Fuel Rail Service Port:

Connection
^ Connect adapter P/N 9995484 to fuel drainage unit P/N 9812270, P/N 9812273 and P/N 9812282.
^ Connect adapter to valve on fuel rail, with adapter in locked position (i.e. valve closed as in inset #1).
^ START fuel drainage unit.
^ Unlock adapter (i.e. valve open as in inset #2).
^ Jack up car.





Drainage of Fuel System
^ Remove:
- Fuel filter valve cap.
^ Connect vent hose P/N 9995480 to valve before fuel filter.
^ Drainage of system takes approx. 2 minutes.

Installation
^ Reinstall components in reverse order.

NOTE: Remember to refit valve caps.
